Tesla Powerwall 3, the pinnacle of battery energy storage, just got better!
The Tesla Powerwall 3 allows for up to 20kW (45x panels) to be connected to it’s built in DC inverter, which is an incredible amount of power in one ‘inverter’.
The Powerwall is capable for external installation, which is another option for home installations where space for a hybrid inverter isn’t possible.

Solar Export is a crucial ‘component’ for a high return on investment.
The Solar Export Guarantee ‘SEG’ is where an electric energy provider like Octopus Energy pay you for the electricity you sell back to the grid.
SEG is not FIT (Feed In Tariff) which was money paid by the government via energy providers for the electricity produced by solar. You cannot have both SEG and FIT payments. The FIT scheme ended in 2016 so please ignore this scheme.
Anyway, back to SEG. Octopus Energy provide the Octopus Flux tariff which pays up to 25 pence for every Kilowatt (kW) of electricity you send back to the grid.
The average 8x panel, 3.5kW array could generate 3400 kW’s of electricity in one year! So the returns are substantial, depending on your system.
